Caledonia Offshore Wind Farm is proud to have won the Skills and People Award at the RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind Awards in London.
Caledonia was recognised for its skills development work with SSERC and Energy Skills Partnership on initiatives to strengthen Scotland’s supply chain readiness and close skills gaps, such as sponsoring the Welding and Fabrication Pre-Apprenticeship at North East Scotland College as well as funding the new SCQF Level 7 Young STEM Leader Award. These programmes strengthen the talent pipeline for Scotland’s offshore wind sector, inspiring young people from all backgrounds to pursue renewable energy careers and providing a clear pathway into high-quality, long-term careers in their local communities.
Ocean Winds is passionate about championing skills development and investing in the future and Caledonia is proud to have been recognised for supporting a capable and inclusive offshore wind future workforce with the Skills and People Award.
The Caledonia team is also proud that the North East and East Ornithological Group (NEEOG), of which Caledonia is a member, won the Environmental Excellence Award. NEEOG is a collaboration of 12 ScotWind developers that protects seabird populations, with this award recognising efforts around sustainable wind farm development and environmental stewardship.
